Back-End Developer
The back-end developer is responsible for managing server-side operations, such as query processing, data manipulation, security, performance optimization and error handling. It is responsible for setting up and managing the server-side logic and operation of a web application. It uses programming languages such as PHP, Python, Ruby, Java, .NET, etc., to develop server-side functionality, manage databases and set up APIs.
Tasks and roles of a back-end developer
Development of server-side logic: management of interactions between server and database, data manipulation, query and response management, implementation of business logic, etc.
Database management: design of database structure, creation and management of SQL queries, optimization of database performance, implementation of data security, etc.
API development and maintenance: creation and management of APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) that enable communication between different parts of the application or with external services.
Security and data protection: implement authentication and authorization mechanisms, user input validation, protection against code injection attacks (SQL, XSS), session management and secure data exchange.
Debugging and maintenance: Back-end developers are responsible for detecting and resolving technical problems, bugs and errors that may occur in the application.
