Front-End Developer
A front-end developer specializes in creating and developing the user interface (UI) of websites and web applications. It uses languages such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript to translate designs into code, create attractive and functional layouts, and add dynamic interactions to the interface. The front-end developer also optimizes interface performance, ensures responsiveness on different devices, collaborates with designers, carries out tests and keeps up to date with the latest trends and technologies in front-end development.
The responsibilities of a front-end developer
- Translate graphic designs and layouts into HTML, CSS and JavaScript code.
- Structure page content, CSS to style and format the user interface, and JavaScript to add interactions and behaviors
- Optimize page load times, images, reduce network demands, cache resources, and minimize CSS and JavaScript files
- Create responsive user interfaces, i.e. adaptable to different devices and screen resolutions.
- Check cross-browser compatibility, responsiveness and interface functionality.
Qualifications required
- Mastery of basic web development languages such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Knowledge of popular frameworks and libraries used in front-end development, such as Bootstrap, React, Angular or Vue.js.
- Solid understanding of design and user experience (UX) principles.
- Solve technical problems and debug errors.
